World Class Tennis Here in North York

Program Highlights

Progressive Tennis

Progressive tennis is a systematic progression of court sizes, balls and racquets to scale the game down to an appropriate level for 5-10 year olds. This system has been imported from France and Belgium and is now endorsed by Tennis Canada and the USTA. The new system allows players to play quickly and successfully. The progressive system is divided in three stages (1/2, 3/4 and full court transition). The NYTA has purchased all the equipment and is in the process of redesigning our grading system.

Early Bird Rates

With only 26 spots available for each time slot we encourage students to get payment plus the forms in before April 1st. The late penalty will be enforced.

New E-Mail Address

The NYTA is looking for ways to communicate faster and be a little greener. Make sure that you fill out your e-mail address on your application forms so we up date our database.

OTA Tournaments for Spring

Make sure you check the OTA web site for NYTA tournaments; we are looking to host 10-12 tournaments this spring and 2-4 in the fall.

For our high performance students we are adding physical fitness to our program. The first day of the program we will testing our students and developing a long term physical development program produced by Tennis Canada.

Walk On Courts

Players in the high performance program will have free walk on courts with 24 hour booking privileges. They can also use the ball hoppers.

"Tyler, and the NYTA, helped me develop and taught me the most important fundamentals of the game. Tyler's hard work and dedication is unparalleled. I am very grateful to have had the chance to train at such a great academy."
